Slow and steady work with your support has allowed the Music Business Connection to reach the status of New and Noteworthy on iTunes. I’m excited to be able to see the podcast gain this recognition as we move along while publishing three episodes per week. It has been a long road to get to this point since this show took about a year and a half to start. That’s because things moved very slow in the development stages. However, even though things moved slowly at first, things kept on moving.
As a musician, perhaps you have found that things can seem to move slowly at times. However, pushing through can mean big success later, because every step is important. Of course, having a bit of recognition or validation can offer a temporary feeling of happiness. However, being confident in doing your best work, regardless of getting a pat on the back or not, is certainly more important for long-term success.
We have had amazing guests, like Steve Stewart (Episode #7) who was the manager of the Stone Temple Pilots for 8 years! Not only did he share a great story about the band, but also gave some wonderful advice to upcoming musicians. The line up of new guests will feature some amazing music business insiders like Steven Scharf, who works for one of the biggest music publishing companies in the world.

I am grateful for you, and appreciate the musicians, fans, and every person who has become a valued listener of the podcast. Like Neil Young says “Keep on rockin’ in the free world”. Thank you!
